Knowing God’s Will

Knowing God’s will is not only about discovering specific decisions, but about developing a close relationship with Him and allowing Him to transform the way we think.

Reflection

Many people want to know God’s will for important decisions: a relationship, a job, a life change, or a new project. Yet God’s will is much deeper than receiving instructions for specific moments. God desires to form in us a heart that thinks, acts, and lives according to His purpose. The Bible teaches us that knowing His will begins with a mind renewed by His Word and a life surrendered to Him. As we know God’s character, we learn to recognize what aligns with His desires. Jesus showed this example by living fully surrendered to the Father’s will, even when the path involved sacrifice. Knowing God’s will requires listening, learning, and being willing to obey.

Practical application

Read a Bible passage today and ask God to transform your way of thinking so you can know His will more clearly.

Prayer

Beloved Father, I want to know Your will and walk according to Your purposes. Help me not to seek only quick answers, but to develop a deeper relationship with You. Renew my mind through Your Word, correct my desires when necessary, and teach me to recognize what pleases Your heart. May my decisions flow from a life surrendered to You and guided by Your Spirit. Amen.
