God Sustains My Life

5 min read
Psalm 55:22

God sustains our lives because His love, power, and faithfulness enable us to remain firm even in the midst of burdens and difficulty.

Reflection

Every person faces moments when their strength feels insufficient and life’s responsibilities seem too heavy. The Bible reminds us that we are not called to carry our worries alone because God invites us to place our burdens in His hands and trust His care. He does not promise a life without difficulty, but He does promise to remain present and sustain us in every circumstance. When we learn to depend on God, we find strength that does not come from our own abilities, but from His constant presence. His hand sustains us when we are weak, lifts us when we fall, and reminds us that our lives are secure in Him. The believer’s hope is found in knowing that God never abandons those who trust Him.

Practical application

Reflect today on the burdens you are carrying and consider what you need to surrender to God so you can rest in His care and strength.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because You are the One who sustains my life at all times. Thank You because when my strength comes to an end, Your power remains and Your love holds me. Help me place my worries, fears, and everything I try to carry by myself into Your hands. Teach me to trust You more and depend less on my own strength. Remind me each day that I do not walk alone because Your presence accompanies me and Your hand sustains me. May my life reflect the confidence of someone who rests completely in You. Amen.

To reflect on

Am I allowing God to sustain my life, or am I still trying to carry alone what I should surrender to Him?
