The battle against impurity and temptation cannot be fought through human willpower alone. The Bible teaches that we need the Holy Spirit’s help to live a life that pleases God. Paul explains that when we walk under the Spirit’s guidance, we are not ruled by the desires of the flesh. This means God not only calls us to reject sin, but also provides the power necessary to do so. The Christian life is one of continual dependence on the Holy Spirit, who transforms our desires, strengthens our character, and helps us make right decisions. Purity is not born only from avoiding what is wrong, but from allowing God to fill our hearts with what is good and holy. When the Spirit governs our lives, we find a new ability to overcome temptation and reflect the character of Christ.

Beloved Father, thank You because You have not left me alone in the battle against sin, but have given me Your Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen me. Help me walk each day under Your direction and not depend only on my own strength. Transform my desires, renew my mind, and give me self-control to live in purity. May my life reflect the fruit of Your Spirit and the victory Christ has given me. Amen.
