The Power of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit equips us with God’s power to live a transformed life and be witnesses of Christ in the world.
Reflection
The power of the Holy Spirit is one of the most important promises Jesus left His disciples. The Bible teaches that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them, not for their own glory, but to be witnesses of Christ and fulfill the mission God had entrusted to them. This power refers not only to extraordinary manifestations, but also to the spiritual strength needed to live by faith, overcome difficulty, and reflect Jesus’ character. The Holy Spirit equips us to do what we could not accomplish through our own strength, giving us courage, direction, and perseverance. When we depend on His power, our lives become instruments for fulfilling God’s purposes and bringing hope to those around us.
Practical application
Reflect today on the source of your strength and consider whether you are depending on the power of the Holy Spirit or only on your own abilities.
Prayer
Beloved Father, thank You because You have not called me to live through my own strength, but have given me Your Holy Spirit to strengthen me. Help me depend on Your power in every area of my life. Give me courage to fulfill Your purpose, wisdom to make decisions, and strength to remain firm in faith. May Your Spirit work in me and through me so my life can become a testimony of Your love and power. Amen.
