True wisdom begins when we recognize God as the center of our lives and learn to live according to His will.

Reflection

Biblical wisdom is far more than knowledge, experience, or the ability to solve problems. Scripture teaches that its true origin is the fear of God. This does not mean being terrified of Him, but recognizing His greatness, authority, and holiness, and living with reverence, humility, and obedience before His presence. Many people seek wisdom by gathering information, following human advice, or trusting their own experience, but the Bible reveals that a wise life begins with a right relationship with God. When we recognize who He is, we also understand who we are and the purpose for which we were created. The fear of the Lord changes the way we make decisions because we stop asking only what is convenient and begin asking what honors God. Jesus displayed this perfect wisdom by living completely aligned with the Father’s will. As we know God more deeply, our way of thinking is transformed, and we begin choosing paths that reflect His character. True wisdom does not merely improve our decisions; it transforms our hearts and leads us to live a life that pleases the Lord.

Read a passage from God’s Word today and ask Him to increase your desire to know Him and live according to His wisdom.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because You are the source of all true wisdom. Forgive me for the times I have trusted my own understanding more than Your direction. Teach me to live with reverence before You and recognize that Your ways are better than mine. Form within me a humble heart that is willing to learn and obey Your Word. May my knowledge not be merely information, but wisdom that transforms the way I live and draws me closer to Christ. Amen.
