Strengthened by God’s Power

5 min read
Ephesians 6:10

God strengthens us with His power to face life’s challenges and remain firm in faith.

Reflection

The Christian life was not designed to be lived by depending only on our own abilities. There are situations where our strength, knowledge, or resources reach their limit, and it is precisely there that we learn to depend on God’s power. Paul reminded believers that their strength should be in the Lord and in the power of His might, not in their own abilities. This teaches us that true spiritual strength is born from a close relationship with God and recognition of our need for Him. When we face struggles, temptations, or difficulties, God equips us with His grace, His Word, and His presence to remain firm. His power does not remove every challenge, but it enables us to face them with a different perspective and with the assurance that we do not walk alone.

Practical application

Reflect today on the areas where you need to stop depending on your own strength and allow God to strengthen you with His power.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because Your power is far greater than my limitations. Help me stop trusting only in my own abilities and teach me to depend more on You. Strengthen my spirit when I face difficulty, give me wisdom to make decisions, and help me remain firm in Your will. May my life reflect that my true strength comes from You, and may I experience Your presence and power sustaining me in every challenge. Amen.

To reflect on

Am I facing challenges through my own strength, or am I allowing God to strengthen me with His power?
