Fruit in Every Good Work
A life transformed by Christ produces actions that reflect His love and glorify God.
Reflection
True faith does not remain only in words; it produces a life that displays God’s work within us. Paul prayed that believers would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and walk in a way worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work. This reminds us that our actions are not the means by which we earn salvation, but the evidence of a life already reached by God’s grace. Every act of love, service, generosity, and obedience can become an expression of Christ’s character. Sometimes we think only great actions have spiritual value, but God also uses small acts of faithfulness carried out with a heart surrendered to Him. When we remain united to Christ, His love begins to appear in the way we treat others and respond to the needs around us.
Practical application
Look for an opportunity today to do a good work as an expression of gratitude to God, not as a way to earn His approval.
Prayer
Beloved Father, thank You because Your grace transformed my life and called me to reflect Your love. Help me not live a faith of words only, but a faith that produces visible fruit in my actions. Open my eyes to see opportunities to serve, love, and do good. May every work I do flow from a grateful heart and always point to Christ. Amen.
