Joseph’s story shows that faithfulness to God often requires firm decisions in the face of temptation. When Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him, Joseph did not negotiate with sin or remain close to danger; he chose to flee. This example teaches us that spiritual wisdom is not merely resisting temptation at the last moment, but also avoiding situations that can weaken us. Many times, we believe we are strong enough to play near the boundaries, but the Bible shows us the importance of guarding our hearts and establishing clear limits. Marital faithfulness begins long before an outward act; it is born in daily decisions, in the way we guard our thoughts, and in how we honor our commitments. God gives us the ability to overcome temptation, but He also calls us to act with prudence and humility. Fleeing temptation is not cowardice, but an expression of wisdom and a desire to please God.

Beloved Father, thank You because You give me wisdom to face temptation and live according to Your will.
