Jesus Christ, the Son of God
Jesus was not merely a good teacher or an extraordinary man; He is the Son of God sent to reveal the Father and bring salvation to the world.
Reflection
The identity of Jesus is the foundation of our faith. Throughout history, many people have tried to see Him only as a moral example, a prophet, or an important figure, but Scripture reveals a much deeper truth: Jesus is the eternal Son of God who came to meet us. His birth, His words, His works, and His resurrection reveal who He is. Recognizing Jesus as the Son of God completely changes our relationship with Him because we do not merely follow teachings; we follow a divine Person who loved us enough to give His life for us. In Christ we see the Father’s heart because He came to show us what God is like. Our hope, salvation, and identity find their foundation in this truth: Jesus is the One God sent to reconcile us to Himself.
Practical application
Read a passage about the life of Jesus today and take a moment to recognize who He is and what that means for your life.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You because You are not merely someone to admire, but the Son of God who came to save me. Help me know You more deeply and let my faith be founded on who You are. Forgive me for the times I have reduced Your importance in my life or sought security in other things. May I recognize Your lordship each day and live gratefully for the love You showed by coming for me. Amen.
