Jesus Is the Only Mediator

Jesus opened the only way of reconciliation between God and us, allowing us to draw near to the Father through Him.

Reflection

One of humanity’s deepest needs is to have fellowship with God again. Throughout history, people have sought different ways to approach Him: through personal effort, traditions, or good works. Yet the Bible teaches that the separation caused by sin could not be resolved through human effort alone. Therefore, God sent Jesus Christ as Mediator. Jesus did not merely show the way to God; He Himself is the way. On the cross, He took our guilt upon Himself and opened a door we could never open through our own strength. Because of Christ, we can draw near to the Father with confidence, not because we are perfect, but because He represents us before God. This truth changes the way we pray and live because it reminds us that our relationship with God does not depend on our performance, but on the completed work of Jesus.

Practical application

Draw near to God in prayer today, remembering that you have access to the Father because of Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You because You made possible what I could never accomplish through my own means. Thank You because You are the bridge who reconciles me to the Father and because I can draw near to God by Your grace. Help me stop trusting in my own merit and rest in the work You accomplished for me. May my life respond with gratitude to the gift of having fellowship with You. Amen.
