Jesus, Our Hope

5 min read
Colossians 1:27

Jesus is our hope because in Him we find salvation, purpose, and the assurance of eternal life with God.

Reflection

Christian hope has a firm foundation: Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that Christ in us is the hope of glory, showing that our confidence is not based on circumstances, people, or human achievements, but on a relationship with Him. Jesus came to reconcile us to God, give us new life, and show us a future filled with hope. When we face uncertainty, loss, or difficulty, we can remain firm because our security is in Christ, who remains faithful. He is the answer to the deepest longing of the human heart and the source of hope that never ends. A life centered on Jesus can look toward the future confidently because it knows God is in control.

Practical application

Reflect today on where your hope is placed and consider whether Christ holds the center of your confidence and security.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because in Jesus I find true hope for my life. Thank You because through Him I have salvation, purpose, and an eternal promise. Help me keep my eyes on Christ when I face difficulty or uncertainty. Remove every confidence in temporary things from me and teach me to rest completely in Your faithfulness. May my life reflect the hope I have in Jesus and allow me to share it with others. Amen.

To reflect on

Is my hope founded on Jesus, or am I seeking security in things that cannot remain?
