Praise Changes Our Perspective
Praise helps change our perspective by reminding us of God’s greatness above our circumstances.
Reflection
Many times, our difficulties seem greater when we view them only from our own perspective. The psalmist Asaph experienced confusion when comparing his situation with that of others, but he found clarity when he entered God’s presence. Worship and praise help change our focus because they remind us who God is and of His sovereignty over all things. When we praise, we stop focusing only on the problem and begin to recognize that God is still working even when we do not understand everything that is happening. Praise does not always change circumstances immediately, but it transforms our hearts and allows us to face them with renewed faith.
Practical application
Reflect today on what is occupying too much space in your thoughts and allow praise to help you remember God’s greatness.
Prayer
Beloved Father, thank You because Your presence changes the way I see my circumstances. Help me not remain trapped only in my problems, but lift my eyes toward You. When I feel confused or discouraged, remind me of Your faithfulness and allow praise to renew my perspective. May my heart trust Your wisdom and recognize that You are in control of my life. Amen.
