Reflection

Many times, we want to know everything that will happen before moving forward. We seek to control our decisions, our future, and our circumstances. But God invites us to trust that His direction is always accompanied by His goodness. Just as a good shepherd guides his sheep, God knows the road ahead and knows what is best for us. Psalm 23 shows David resting in God’s care even in difficult places because he understood that the Shepherd’s presence was more important than the circumstances of the journey. God’s goodness is reflected not only in the blessings we receive, but also in the doors He closes, the paths He changes, and the decisions He invites us to make. Sometimes we do not understand why God leads us through certain processes, but we can trust that His wisdom is greater than ours. When we allow Him to guide our lives, we find a security that does not depend on having everything resolved, but on walking with the God who knows our destination.

Practical application

Before making an important decision, take time to seek God’s direction and ask Him for wisdom to follow His ways.

Prayer

Father, thank You because I do not have to walk alone or depend only on my own wisdom. Guide my steps and help me trust Your ways even when I do not fully understand the process. Give me discernment to make decisions that honor Your will and a heart willing to follow Your direction. Remind me each day that Your goodness accompanies me and that Your plans for my life flow from Your perfect love. Amen.
