The strength that comes from God is not limited to having endurance to face problems; it also produces deep joy that remains even when circumstances are not perfect. Nehemiah reminded the people of Israel that the joy of the Lord was their strength at a time when they needed to rebuild and recover hope. This teaches us that our spiritual strength does not depend only on our ability to endure, but on the joy we find in knowing that God is with us. Many times, we seek strength in results, the approval of others, or having everything under control, but God invites us to find a deeper source: His presence. When our hearts are filled with the joy that comes from the Lord, we can face difficulty with a different attitude because we know our hope is in Him.

Beloved Father, thank You because You are the source of my true strength and joy. Help me not depend only on my circumstances for peace or encouragement. When I face difficulty, remind me that Your presence remains with me and that in You I find lasting strength. Renew my heart, fill my life with Your joy, and teach me to face each day with gratitude and trust. May my joy come from You and not from what happens around me. Amen.
