God’s Grace Sustains Me
God’s grace not only forgives us; it also sustains us when our strength is not enough.
Reflection
At times, we think we need to be strong all the time, have all the answers, and overcome every difficulty through our own ability. But God reminds us that His grace is revealed precisely in our moments of weakness. We are not sustained because we are perfect, but because He is faithful. The apostle Paul experienced this reality when he asked God to remove a difficulty from his life. The Lord’s response was not to immediately remove the problem, but to show him that His grace was sufficient. Through that experience, Paul discovered that dependence on God was not a sign of failure, but an opportunity to experience His power. God’s grace enables us to rise when we fall, continue when we are tired, and trust when we lack clarity about the future. We do not walk in our own strength; we walk sustained by a God who knows our limitations and remains near us.
Practical application
Identify an area where you feel weak and surrender it to God today, remembering that His grace is sufficient for you.
Prayer
Lord, thank You because Your grace sustains me even when my strength runs out. Help me stop depending only on my own ability and to trust more deeply in Your power. In my moments of weakness, remind me that I am not alone and that You can work even in what seems impossible. Form in me a humble heart that depends on You each day and recognizes Your grace as my true strength. Amen.
