The Bible shows the example of Timothy, whose faith was influenced by his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice, who planted within him a spiritual heritage that remained throughout his life. A mother’s words, teachings, prayers, and example can become seeds God uses to shape the hearts of her children. Although children will grow and make their own decisions, the principles learned in the home can accompany them throughout life. A mother who seeks the Lord has the opportunity to leave a legacy that reaches across generations, not based on perfection, but on sincere and consistent faith.
