The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats

The parable of the sheep and the goats teaches us that the way we treat others reflects our relationship with Christ.

In this parable, Jesus spoke of the moment when the Son of Man will separate people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The difference between the two groups was found in the way they responded to the needs of others: feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, caring for the sick, and helping those in need. Jesus taught that acts of love and mercy toward others have profound spiritual meaning because when we serve others, we are serving Him. This teaching reminds us that genuine faith produces compassion and moves us to act in love. God calls us to look beyond ourselves and become instruments of His grace to those around us.
