The Bible presents children as a blessing from the Lord and not merely as a responsibility. The psalmist declares that children are a heritage from the Lord, showing the value and purpose God has given them within the family. Parenting involves far more than supplying material needs; it also means shaping the heart, teaching values, and accompanying children in their spiritual and personal growth. Children need to experience love, discipline, direction, and an example that shows them God’s character. Although parenting can bring challenges, every stage represents an opportunity to reflect the heavenly Father’s love. When parents recognize that their children belong to God and have been entrusted to their care, they can guide them with greater wisdom, patience, and purpose.

Reflect today on how you are valuing and guiding the children God has placed in your life. Look for opportunities to show them love, teach them His ways, and walk beside them patiently.

Beloved Father, thank You because children are a blessing that comes from You. Help me care lovingly and responsibly for those You have placed under my care. Give me wisdom to teach, patience to correct, and sensitivity to understand their needs. May my example draw them closer to You, and may my home be a place where they know Your love, truth, and purpose for their lives. Amen.
