My Will or God’s Will

Jesus taught us that true surrender means submitting our will to God and trusting that His plans are better than ours.

Reflection

One of the deepest struggles of the human heart is deciding between following our own desires and surrendering completely to God’s will. Stubbornness appears when we insist on our ways without considering the Lord’s direction, but Jesus gave us the perfect example of obedience to the Father. In the most difficult moment of His earthly life, He prayed that not His will, but the Father’s, would be done. This was not a sign of weakness, but the greatest expression of trust and surrender. Many times, we want God to bless our plans when He is inviting us to trust His plans. Surrendering to God’s will requires humility because it means recognizing that His wisdom is greater than ours. When we stop fighting His direction and learn to obey, we find true peace and purpose. God’s will does not seek to limit our lives, but to guide us toward what He designed for us.

Reflect today on the areas where you are still trying to impose your will and surrender them again to the Lord.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because Your plans are perfect and Your will always seeks my good. Help me leave behind stubbornness and the desire to control every situation. Teach me to trust Your ways even when they do not match my own desires. Give me a humble heart like Jesus, willing to obey and rest in Your direction. May my decisions reflect a life surrendered to You, and may I find peace in knowing that You are guiding every step of my path. Amen.
