Do Not Let Anxiety Rule
God calls us to surrender our burdens and trust that He can sustain us when anxiety tries to dominate our hearts.
Reflection
Anxiety can become a force that governs our thoughts, emotions, and decisions when we allow worries to occupy the place that belongs to God. The Bible teaches that we were not created to carry alone everything that weighs on us, but to draw near to the Lord and surrender our burdens to Him. The psalmist reminds us that God not only receives our worries, but also promises to sustain us. Many times, we try to control every detail of life because we fear something may go wrong, but this attitude can exhaust us and draw us away from trusting God. Surrendering anxiety to the Lord is an act of faith in which we recognize that He is in control and that His care is greater than our limitations. When we allow God to govern our hearts, anxiety loses authority and a peace founded on His presence and faithfulness begins to grow.
Practical application
Reflect today on the worries that have taken too much space in your mind and surrender them to the Lord, trusting His care.
Prayer
Beloved Father, thank You because I can draw near to You with all my burdens and because You never abandon me in the midst of my struggles. Help me not allow anxiety to govern my thoughts or decisions. Teach me to surrender what I cannot control and rest in Your faithfulness. Strengthen my heart, renew my mind, and fill my life with the peace that comes from Your presence. May I remember each day that You sustain me and that my security is in Your hands. Amen.
