Let Us Not Grow Weary While Doing Good

God calls us to remain faithful in doing good, trusting that our effort in Him always has purpose.

Reflection

One of the greatest tests of Christian perseverance occurs when we do what is right and seem to see no results. We may serve, love, help, and strive to live according to God, but at times feel weary or wonder whether it is really worth continuing. Paul encourages believers not to grow weary while doing good because there is a promise: in due season there will be a harvest if we remain steadfast. This teaching reminds us that God sees what others often do not recognize. Faithfulness does not always produce immediate results, but it is never wasted before the Lord. Doing good requires a heart sustained by hope because our motivation should not depend only on people’s responses or visible circumstances. Christ Himself persevered in obedience even though He faced rejection, suffering, and the cross, trusting in the Father’s eternal purpose. In the same way, God calls us to continue loving, serving, and obeying even when the road is difficult. Perseverance in doing good shapes our character and demonstrates that our lives are founded on something greater than human approval. When we remain faithful, God uses our obedience to bless others and fulfill His purposes.

Identify an area where you have grown weary of doing good and ask God for new strength to continue being faithful.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because You see every act of love, every effort, and every moment when we choose to obey You even though no one else notices. I recognize that sometimes I grow weary and feel like giving up when I do not see immediate results. Strengthen my heart and help me remember that my reward comes from You. Teach me to serve with perseverance, love with patience, and do good with a heart full of hope. May my life reflect the faithfulness of Christ, and may I never forget that Your purposes are always fulfilled at the right time. Amen.
