Reflecting the Love of Christ
Christ’s love not only transforms our hearts; it also makes us instruments through whom His love is shown to the world.
Reflection
Jesus did not teach love only through words; He demonstrated it through His actions. He loved the rejected, forgave those who failed, served those who followed Him, and gave His life for people who could give Him nothing in return. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect that same love in our daily relationships. This does not mean loving only those who treat us well, but allowing the character of Jesus to transform the way we respond. Many times, the world expects to see God’s love not only in what we say, but in the way we treat people. A heart that has experienced Christ’s love begins to express patience, compassion, forgiveness, and service. Our life can become a window through which others see the heart of Jesus.
Practical application
Look for a specific opportunity today to demonstrate Christ’s love through an act of service or a word of encouragement.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You because Your love reached me and transformed my life. Help me not keep that love only for myself, but reflect it in the way I treat those around me. Remove selfishness, hardness, and unforgiveness from my heart. Teach me to love as You love, with humility, patience, and compassion. May my life show others the character of Christ. Amen.
