Restitution Requires Patience

God’s restitution often takes place through processes in which we learn to trust His timing and remain firm while we wait.

One of the greatest tests of faith is learning to wait on God when we long to see immediate restoration. The Bible reminds us that the Lord’s plans have perfect timing and that our responsibility is to continue trusting Him through the process. We often want God to quickly restore what we have lost, but the Lord uses seasons of waiting to form our character, strengthen our patience, and teach us to depend more on His presence. Waiting does not mean God is absent; on the contrary, it is often the space where He is working in ways we cannot yet see. True restitution is not only about receiving something again, but also being prepared to steward correctly what God entrusts to us. When we wait on the Lord, our hearts learn to rest in His faithfulness and not only in the results we expect.

Beloved Father, thank You because Your timing is perfect and Your faithfulness remains even during seasons of waiting. Help me be patient when I do not see immediate answers and teach me to trust Your plan. Form my character through the process, strengthen my faith, and allow my heart to rest in Your promises. May I not seek only the restoration of things, but also the transformation You desire to produce within me. Teach me to wait with hope and recognize Your work in every stage of my life. Amen.
