His Authority Can Never Be Challenged
God’s authority is absolute because it comes from His perfect nature. No one can limit His power or prevent His purposes.
Reflection
At times, human beings try to understand God from a limited perspective. We want His decisions to fit completely within our logic, and we expect to understand every detail of His plans. Yet God’s greatness exceeds our understanding. The book of Job shows us a man who went through extremely difficult circumstances and came to question what he was experiencing. But when he encountered God’s greatness, he understood that the Lord possessed wisdom and authority infinitely greater than his own. Recognizing God’s authority does not mean that we stop asking questions, but that we humbly accept that He knows things we do not know. His authority is accompanied by love, justice, and perfect wisdom. When we stop fighting against His will and learn to trust it, we find a freedom that comes from surrendering our control to the God who truly knows what is best.
Practical application
Identify an area where you struggle to trust God and surrender it to Him in prayer, acknowledging that His will is perfect.
Prayer
Lord, help me recognize Your authority over my life. Many times, I want to understand everything before I obey, but today I want to remember that You are greater than my understanding. Give me humility to accept Your ways, wisdom to follow Your direction, and confidence to rest in the truth that Your decisions always flow from Your perfect love. May my heart learn to surrender before You each day. Amen.
