God's Authority

Every Knee Will Bow Before Christ

5 min read
Philippians 2:10-11

Jesus is not only our Savior; He is the eternal King before whom all creation will acknowledge His authority.

Reflection

In a world where many people seek to define their own truth and live on their own terms, the Bible reminds us of a reality that remains: Jesus Christ is Lord. His authority does not depend on human recognition, because He already reigns with power and glory. Christ’s humility in coming into the world as a servant did not diminish His authority; on the contrary, it revealed the greatness of a King who came to save. The cross appeared to be a defeat, but it became the path to ultimate victory. God exalted Jesus above every name, and the day will come when all creation will acknowledge who He is. This truth does not speak only about the future; it invites us today to surrender our lives before Christ. When we recognize His lordship, we stop living centered on ourselves and begin living for the One who has eternal authority over all things.

Practical application

Find a moment today to acknowledge Jesus as Lord of your life and surrender again the areas you still need to yield to Him.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, today I acknowledge that You are worthy of all honor and authority. Help me not to live governed by my pride, desires, or personal plans, but to surrender my life before You. May my words, decisions, and actions reflect that You are my King. Thank You because Your authority is not based on force, but on love, sacrifice, and perfect justice. Amen.

To reflect on

Am I acknowledging Jesus as Lord of my entire life, or only as someone I seek in moments of need?
