One Body in Christ

In Christ we do not only receive a new personal life; we are also called to become part of one united people with a shared purpose.

Reflection

The Christian faith was never designed to be lived in isolation. When God unites us to Christ, He also incorporates us into a spiritual family where every person has value and a special role. Paul uses the image of the body to explain that although there are different members with different abilities, all belong to the same body and depend on one another. In a culture where complete independence is often promoted, God reminds us that we need to live in fellowship, supporting, serving, and growing together. Unity in Christ does not mean that we are all the same, but that God can use our differences to fulfill His purpose. When we stop competing and begin serving in love, we show the world an image of Christ’s heart.

Identify one way you can strengthen unity and serve more effectively within the community of believers.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You because in Christ You not only gave me salvation, but also a spiritual family. Help me value other believers, serve with humility, and seek the unity that honors Your name. Remove pride, indifference, and everything that causes division from my heart. Teach me to use the gifts You have given me to build others up and reflect the love of Christ. Amen.
