God not only has authority over the universe; He also desires to direct every area of our lives with wisdom and love.
One of the greatest human struggles is completely surrendering control to God. We want to make our own decisions, define our own path, and rely primarily on our own understanding. Yet the Bible teaches us that true wisdom begins when we recognize God’s authority and trust His direction. God knows our past, present, and future; He sees what we cannot see. Therefore, His instructions are not burdens, but expressions of His love and protection. When we obey His voice, we are not losing freedom, but walking within the design He created for us. God’s authority frees us from the pressure of having to solve everything on our own and allows us to rest in the assurance that His ways are better than ours.
Before making an important decision, take time to seek God’s direction and ask Him what He wants to teach you in that situation.
Beloved Father, today I acknowledge that You have authority over my life and that Your ways are better than mine. Help me trust You when I do not understand the path and obey Your voice even when it differs from my own plans. Remove from my heart the desire to control everything and teach me to walk under Your direction with humility and confidence. May every decision in my life reflect that You are my Lord. Amen.
