The gift of prophecy is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit given to build up, exhort, and strengthen the church according to God’s purpose.
Prophecy is one of the spiritual gifts mentioned in the Bible and is intended to communicate a message that strengthens and encourages God’s people. Scripture teaches that the one who prophesies speaks for edification, exhortation, and comfort, showing that this gift should focus on helping others grow in their relationship with the Lord. True prophecy must always be aligned with God’s Word and must never contradict His character or teachings. This gift requires humility, responsibility, and dependence on the Holy Spirit, recognizing that all revelation comes from God. Rather than seeking personal recognition, those who exercise this gift should make it their priority to build up, encourage, and direct others toward Christ.

Beloved Father, thank You because You have revealed Your will and allow Your Spirit to guide Your people. Help me value and humbly receive what comes from You. If You have given gifts to build others up, allow them to be used with love, wisdom, and responsibility. Teach me always to remain founded on Your Word and seek for every spiritual expression to have the purpose of glorifying Christ and strengthening those around me. Amen.
