A wife can strengthen her marriage by offering support, companionship, and encouragement while walking beside her husband according to God’s purpose.
Marriage was designed by God as a relationship of companionship in which husband and wife help one another fulfill their responsibilities and purpose. A wife’s support for her husband does not mean losing her identity or her own gifts, but using what God has given her to strengthen the relationship and build the home. The Bible presents the wife as a valuable companion who contributes wisdom, encouragement, and help through the different stages of life. A healthy marriage requires both spouses to support and listen to one another and recognize that they need to walk together. Support is also reflected in encouragement, prayer, respect, and remaining near in moments of joy and difficulty. When a wife seeks God, she can become a source of strength and blessing to her husband and family.
Reflect today on how you are supporting your husband and consider how you can strengthen unity and companionship within your marriage.
Beloved Father, thank You because You designed marriage as a relationship of companionship and mutual help. Help me become a wife who builds up, encourages, and strengthens her husband with love and wisdom. Teach me to recognize his efforts, walk beside him through challenges, and support him with a willing heart. Remove every attitude of criticism or indifference from me and allow my life to become a blessing to my family. May our marriage reflect the unity, love, and purpose that come from You. Amen.
