As believers, our bodies belong to God and should be cared for and used to honor Him as temples of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible teaches that our relationship with God transforms the way we view our bodies. Paul reminds believers that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, showing that our physical lives also have a spiritual purpose. This truth changes our perspective on purity and reminds us that we are not absolute owners of ourselves, but people who belong to God. Sexual immorality affects our fellowship with the Lord because it contradicts the identity we have received in Christ. Honoring God with our bodies involves guarding our decisions, thoughts, and actions. Purity is not born merely from outward restrictions, but from understanding our value as God’s children and living according to that identity. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and enables us to live in a way that glorifies the Lord.

Beloved Father, thank You because You have given me a new identity in Christ and because Your Holy Spirit dwells within me. Help me remember that my body belongs to You and that I should honor You in everything I do. Forgive me for the times I have failed to guard this truth as I should. Strengthen my will, renew my mind, and guide me to live with purity and holiness. May my whole life become an expression of worship toward You. Amen.
