Christ is the center of God’s eternal purpose because all things were created through Him and find their true meaning in Him.
From eternity, God established a purpose that finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that all things were created through Christ and for Christ, showing that He is not merely part of God’s plan, but the center of the entire story of redemption. Our lives find true meaning when we understand that we were created to know Christ, live in fellowship with Him, and reflect His glory. Many times, we seek purpose in achievements, possessions, or recognition, but none of those things can fill the place only Christ can occupy. When we place Jesus at the center, our priorities change and we begin to live according to God’s eternal design. The purpose of our existence is not found only in what we do, but in belonging to the One for whom all things were created.
Reflect today on the place Christ holds in your life and consider whether your decisions are being guided by Him as the center of your purpose.
Beloved Father, thank You because in Christ I find the true meaning of my life. Thank You because Your eternal plan does not depend on my abilities, but on Your grace and faithfulness. Help me place Jesus at the center of every area of my life and remember that I was created to know, love, and glorify You. Remove everything that occupies the place only Christ deserves. May my thoughts, decisions, and actions reflect the eternal purpose You have for me in Him. Amen.
