Waiting on God renews our strength, strengthens our faith, and teaches us to trust His perfect timing.
Waiting is a season everyone faces at different moments in life. It can be difficult when we do not see immediate answers or when our plans seem to stop, but the Bible reminds us that God’s timing always has purpose. Waiting on the Lord does not mean remaining passive, but learning to trust, seek His direction, and allow Him to work in our hearts. In seasons of waiting, God can develop our patience, strengthen our dependence on Him, and prepare us for what He has determined. Many times, we want to receive quickly what we have asked for, but God is also interested in shaping our character while we wait. When we trust His timing, we find renewed strength and learn that His will is always better than our own expectations.
Reflect today on the areas of your life where you are waiting for an answer from God and consider how you can use this time to draw closer to Him.
Beloved Father, thank You because Your timing is perfect and because You never stop working in my life. Help me wait with patience and trust even when I do not fully understand Your plans. Strengthen my faith during seasons of waiting and teach me to depend more on You. Remove anxiety, frustration, and the desire to control everything from my heart. Allow this time to shape my character and draw me closer to Your presence. May I rest knowing that Your purposes are always good. Amen.
