God can use seasons of brokenness to draw us closer to Him, strengthen our faith, and transform our hearts according to His purpose.
Brokenness is often difficult to understand, but the Bible shows that God can work deeply through our wounds, losses, and painful processes. The psalmist declares that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, reminding us that our difficulties never take place outside His presence. Often, our weakest moments are the very times when we discover our deepest need for God and learn to depend on Him more fully. Brokenness does not mean God has abandoned us; it can become a process through which He shapes our character, removes what hinders our growth, and draws us closer to His heart. In His hands, our trials can become opportunities to develop humility, patience, and deeper faith. God wastes no process when we trust Him; even what feels painful can be used to fulfill His purposes in our lives.
Reflect today on the difficult processes you have experienced and ask God what He desires to teach you and how He wants to shape your heart through them.
Beloved Father, thank You because You remain near even when my heart feels weak or wounded. Thank You because my difficulties are not outside Your care and because You can use every process to draw me closer to You. Help me trust Your purpose when I do not understand what I am experiencing. Remove pride from me, strengthen my faith, and teach me to depend completely on Your grace. Allow every experience to form within me a heart that is more humble, more sensitive to Your voice, and more like Christ’s. Amen.
