God does not always act in the way we expect, but His ways are always guided by perfect wisdom that surpasses our understanding.
One of the greatest tests of our faith occurs when God does something different from what we imagined. Our minds search for explanations, want to understand every detail, and seek immediate meaning in every situation. Yet God reminds us that His way of thinking is above ours. This does not mean His ways are mysterious because He does not care about us; quite the opposite, His perspective is much broader because He knows what we cannot see. Joseph may have thought his years of suffering were a purposeless injustice, but God was preparing a story of salvation for many people. Christ’s cross appeared to be a defeat, but it became the greatest demonstration of love and redemption. When human logic says something makes no sense, God’s wisdom invites us to trust. Faith does not mean understanding everything, but knowing that the One directing our story is completely good and wise.
Identify a situation you cannot understand and surrender it to God, remembering that His thoughts are higher than yours.
Beloved Father, I acknowledge that many times I want to understand Your plans before trusting them. Help me remember that Your wisdom is perfect and that You see what I cannot see. When my thoughts fill with doubt, teach me to rest in Your truth. Give me a humble heart to accept Your ways and a firm faith to continue walking with You even when I do not have all the answers. Amen.
