God’s will is not a limitation on our lives; it is the path where we find what He designed for our true good.
Sometimes we are afraid to completely surrender our plans to God because we think His will may take us away from what we desire. But the Bible reveals that God’s will flows from His perfect love and always seeks our good. A loving father does not guide his children toward paths that will harm them, and how much more is this true of our heavenly Father. Many times, we do not understand His decisions because we see only the present moment, while God knows our entire story. Abraham had to leave his land without knowing all the details, but he discovered that God’s plan was far greater than his own thoughts. Jesus Himself, in the most difficult moment, chose to trust the Father’s will because He knew it was perfect. When we learn to trust God’s will, we stop seeing it as a loss of freedom and begin seeing it as the expression of a love that guides us toward the purpose for which we were created.
Surrender to God an area where you struggle to accept His will and ask Him for a heart willing to trust His plans.
Lord, thank You because Your will is always good, even when I do not fully understand Your ways. Help me leave behind the fear of giving You control and teach me to trust that Your plans are better than mine. Give me humility to accept Your direction and faith to walk in obedience, knowing that You never seek to harm me, but to form in me what reflects Your purpose. Amen.
