Living Each Day in God’s Will

God's Will · 5 min read

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord {is}.
Ephesians 5:15-17

Introduction

God’s will is not only sought in major decisions; it is also lived out in every daily choice we make before Him.

Reflection

Many people think about God’s will only when they face important decisions, but most of our lives are formed by small daily choices. The way we treat others, how we use our time, the priorities we hold, and where we place our hearts are also part of living according to God’s will. Jesus showed us a life completely surrendered to the Father, seeking to glorify Him in every moment. Living in God’s will does not mean having a perfect life without difficulties, but walking with clear direction and a heart willing to please Him. Each day, we have the opportunity to ask ourselves: Do my decisions reflect what God desires to form in me? When we seek to please God in everyday life, our lives begin to align with His eternal purpose.

Practical application

At the beginning of your day, surrender your plans to God and ask Him to guide your thoughts, words, and actions according to His will.

Prayer

Lord, I want to learn to live each day under Your will. Help me not to seek You only in important moments, but to recognize You in every detail of my life. Guide my decisions, transform my priorities, and teach me to walk with a heart surrendered to You. May my time, relationships, and actions reflect Your purpose, and may I live each day closer to what You desire for me. Amen.

For reflection
Am I seeking God’s will only for important moments, or am I allowing it to direct every area of my daily life?
