Christ, the King Who Reigns Forever

Jesus did not come only as Savior; He is the eternal King who has authority over all creation.

Reflection

In a world where governments change, authorities pass away, and human structures are temporary, Christ remains the King who never loses His dominion. During His earthly life, Jesus did not present Himself as a king according to human standards; He came in humility, serving and giving His life. Yet Scripture reveals that His apparent weakness was actually the victory of God’s plan. The resurrection confirmed that no power can defeat the King of kings. Recognizing Christ as King means much more than accepting a theological truth; it means surrendering every area of our lives to Him. Many times, we want Jesus to be our Savior, but we still try to govern our own decisions. The lordship of Christ invites us to surrender control and trust that His kingdom is perfect, just, and eternal.

Practical application

Identify an area of your life where you are still trying to remain in control and surrender it to the rule of Christ.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I recognize that You are the King of kings and that all authority belongs to You. Forgive me for the times I try to direct my life without considering Your will. Help me surrender my heart, plans, and decisions before You. May my life be an expression of worship, and may I live each day under Your lordship with trust and joy. Amen.
