Trials can change our perspective of God, but they never change the goodness of His heart.
No one enjoys going through difficult moments, but the Bible teaches us that even trials can become tools God uses to strengthen our faith. When we face situations we do not understand, it is normal to wonder why God allows certain things. Yet God’s goodness does not disappear in difficult moments. Often, it is precisely in the midst of trials that we discover His presence, comfort, and faithfulness more deeply. Joseph endured injustice before seeing God’s purpose in his life, David faced persecution before receiving the promise, and Jesus Himself walked the path of the cross before the resurrection. God does not promise a life without difficulties, but He does promise to accompany us through every process. Trials do not mean God has abandoned us; often, they are the setting in which He forms our character and draws us closer to Him.
Remember a trial you have gone through and look for how God was present even in the midst of that situation.
Beloved Father, when I go through difficult moments, help me not to interpret Your plans through my limited understanding. Remind me that You are still good even when the road is difficult. Strengthen my faith, develop my patience, and help me trust that You can use every trial to draw me closer to You and shape my character according to Your will. Thank You because I never walk alone and because Your love remains in every season of my life. Amen.
