Trials can make us feel weak, but they can also become the place where we discover the greatness of God’s power.
In difficult moments, it is easy to focus on the size of the problem and forget the greatness of the God who is with us. When we face situations that seem to exceed our strength, our first reaction may be to worry, seek human solutions, or feel that we cannot move forward. Yet the Bible repeatedly shows us that God reveals Himself as powerful precisely in the midst of impossible circumstances. David faced Goliath not because he trusted his own abilities, but because he knew that the God of Israel was greater than any enemy. The disciples faced storms, but learned that Jesus had authority even over the wind and sea. Trials are not evidence that God has abandoned us; often they are opportunities to experience His power more deeply. Trusting God does not mean denying the difficulty, but recognizing that the difficulty will never be greater than the One who sustains us.
Write down a trial you are currently facing and take a moment to surrender it to God, remembering that His power is greater than that situation.
Beloved Father, when I face difficult moments, help me look beyond my limitations and remember Your power. Many times, I allow problems to become greater in my mind than Your ability to work. Strengthen my faith, renew my hope, and teach me to depend on You in every circumstance. Thank You because You did not promise a life without trials, but You did promise to be with me and sustain me with Your power. Amen.
