Our union with Christ not only transforms our present; it also secures our eternal future with Him.
One of the believer’s greatest sources of hope is knowing that our relationship with Christ does not end with this life. The union we have with Him connects our destiny to His. Just as Christ died, rose again, and was glorified, those who belong to Him have the promise of sharing His eternal glory. This truth changes the way we face present difficulties. It does not mean we ignore pain or trials, but that we remember our story does not end with what we see today. The first believers found strength to remain steadfast because they looked forward to a reality greater than their present circumstances. Our identity is hidden with Christ, and although we still live in an imperfect world, we have the assurance that one day we will fully see what we now believe by faith. Union with Christ gives us a hope that does not depend on what is temporary, but on an eternal promise.
Meditate today on the future hope you have in Christ and allow that truth to strengthen your faith in the present.
Beloved Father, thank You because my future is secure in Christ. When the difficulties of this life try to take away my hope, help me remember that I belong to You and that You have prepared eternal glory for those who are united to Jesus. Teach me to live with an eternal perspective, trusting Your promises and remaining steadfast until the day we fully see Your work. Amen.
