The parable of the two debtors teaches us that those who understand the greatness of God’s forgiveness respond with greater love and gratitude toward Him.
In this parable, Jesus spoke of two people who owed different debts to a creditor, yet both were forgiven. When He asked who would love the one who forgave more, the answer was the person whose greater debt had been canceled. Through this teaching, Jesus showed that our response toward God is connected to how deeply we understand His grace and mercy. Those who recognize the greatness of the forgiveness they have received develop grateful hearts filled with love. The parable reminds us that no one stands before God on the basis of personal merit, but by His grace. When we understand how much we have been forgiven, our lives change and a desire is born to love, serve, and honor the Lord.

Beloved Father, thank You because Your forgiveness and grace have reached my life. Help me always remember how much I need You and live with a grateful heart. Remove the pride that causes me to forget Your mercy and teach me to love others with the same grace I have received. May my life become a response of love toward You for everything You have done for me. Amen.
