In Christ we find the ultimate refuge because He offers us reconciliation with God, eternal security, and a hope that does not depend on circumstances.
Throughout life, we look for places where we can feel protected. We seek financial stability, recognition, relationships, or plans that give us security. Yet all those things can change. Christ offers something different: a refuge that remains because it is founded on God’s faithfulness. In Jesus we find rest from our guilt, hope for our future, and a restored relationship with our heavenly Father. The cross demonstrates that God did not remain distant from our pain, but drew near to save us. When we run to Christ, we do not find only temporary help for our problems; we find a new identity and a security that transcends this life. He is the refuge where the weary heart finds grace, forgiveness, and a steadfast hope.
Pause today and thank Jesus for being your refuge and for the security you have in Him.
Lord Jesus, thank You because in You I find the refuge my heart needs. Thank You because You not only help me in my difficulties, but You have brought me near to the Father and given me an eternal hope. Forgive me for the times I seek security in temporary things and forget that only You can fully sustain my life. Teach me to remain close to You and trust in Your love each day. Amen.
